3. Categories of non-conformity
When reporting non-conformities, follow the guide below to ensure they are categorised correctly
Category | Description |
---|---|
Food Product Issues | Dust, foreign matter, color variation, moldy product, odd smell, etc. |
Net weight/quantity | Net weight issue/number of units issue |
Infestation of product | Live insects observed in the product (inside/outside bags), number of bags, number of insects found, and relevant details |
Labelling | Compliance with relevant WFP artwork and marking paragraph in packaging specification |
Primary packaging integrity | Sealing issues, torn bags, leaky cans or bottles, type of defects, number of impacted units |
Secondary packaging integrity | Damaged cartons, oil-stained cartons, etc. |
Insects at the loading/in the storage | Live or dead insects observed at loading, location, number of insects |
Container/vessel defects | Infestation, previous cargo residues, leaks, and other applicable defects |
Container stuffing issues | Improper stuffing, falling risk, missing desiccants, kraft paper, spare boxes/bags, rain or condensation at loading |
Vessel loading issues | Missing desiccants, kraft paper, spare boxes/bags, rain or condensation during loading, and other observed issues |
LOP issued | Number of LOP issued and reason for issuance |
Production monitoring issues | Lack of hygiene, lack of quality staff, unaddressed product deviations, and other observed issues |
Average weight of Primary Package | Average weight of empty sachet/bag, number of units checked |
Average weight of Secondary Package | Average weight of empty box/big bag, number of units checked |
